Disneyland - California Adventure Land Day Two

After a wonderful first day at Disneyland...we were ready for more!
Emily with Alice

THey had this great Disney Live On Stage Show...Emily and Chloe got to see their favorite TV Shows brought to life...shows like Bear in the Big Blue House, Stanley, WInnie the Pooh and JoJo's Circus...Both the girls loved it, they were dancing, clapping and singing along with all the other kids...

We also got to see a mini-stage production of Aladdin....this was brilliant!

Emily - " I love this ride!!!", Chloe - " Stop....I want to get off!"

Twirling LAdybird ride!

Emily really wanted to go on that roller coaster in the background...but she was too little, we settled on the Ferris Wheel instead.

Tow Mater from CARS

Lightning McQueen in the flesh

Sid sampling some traditional American fare...a CORN DOG!

Each afternoon they had a "BLOCK PARTY BASH", with characters from all the favourite DIsney/Pixar movies....Toy Story, MOnsters Inc, the Incredibles..the girls loved meeting all the characters and they loved dancing along with all the other kids around them.

A child's dream come true...a toy shop totally devoted to all things Disney! Mummy can I have this please? And this? and this? and this?!!!!!

Umm....I think she's had a good day! What do you think??

Our home away from home...the Anaheim Camelot Inn, just across the road from Disneyland's maingate. We highly recommend this place...we had a brilliant uninterrupted view of the fireworks show at Disneyland every night...all from the balcony outside our room. Great if you have young kids who can't last until 9.40pm!

Disneyland ....Day Four!

We had early entry into Mickey's toontown one morning...and the roller coaster was empty!!! so Em and I went for back to back rides all by ourselves!

Inside Minnie's house

Minnie's kitchen....very cute!

Mickey and friend's entertained us with a song and dance routine!

Emily got to meet all her favorite Disney Princesses....here she is with Pocahontas

Snow White....she was very pretty, but she had this terribly high pitched annoying voice...think she had to put it on to keep in character!

Jasmine from Aladdin

Emily wanted her face painted...she chose a Tinkerbell design

Waiting for lunch at a "New Orleans" cafe.

Awww....how cute!!

Ditto....how cute!!! We really have two wonderfully adorable girls and we love them to bits!

Emily getting ready for her canoe ride through Frontierland!

Winnie the Pooh....Emily - "Mummy how come they don't speak?!"

Tigger and the Wong girls

Chloe loved petting the animals at the petting farm....Chloe - "Doggy! Doggy!"...everything that had four legs and fur was a dog in her eyes.

Jessie and Woody...from Toy Story

After a hard day of fun and games...Chloe decided to tuck into some ribs at Tony Roma's just next door to our hotel.

And Sid decided to follow suit and do the same! Got to love those American sized portions!

Back in LA for some retail therapy and time with family!

Is this Asian enough for you Daddy??
A day at the beach...Redondo beach, one of the neighbouring beaches to Venice Beach.

LA beaches aren't too bad...but we still think Australian beaches are better!

A day at a local park...it was good to get back to some kind of normalcy after so many days of Disney fun!

"I love it here!!!!"

Outside our Aunty's house...the girls loved going for walks, and Chloe loved the freedom of being outdoors.

Our home away from home for 5 weeks!! Thankyou Aunty PAuline!

Lunch at a Peking restaurant with Aunty Pauline and Aunty Mona

Meeting and playing with her "cousins" would have to be the highlight of Emily's trip...even now she still says "Mummy I miss my cousins in America"
Here she is with Chloe and Tyler

The Three Amigos - Rhianne 4 1/2, Tyler 4 1/2 and Emily 3 1/2

Chinese New Year - we had steam boat with the Fok Family, Lisa, Tim and their two boys, Brandon and Tyler, Nancy and Robert and their daughter Rhianne, Aunty Vi and Uncle Phil, Aunty Pauline and Aunty Mona. Sid left for Orlando the following day for his work meetings.

From R to L, Rhianne, Brandon, Tyler and Emily

Chloe, Rhianne, Tyler and Emily pose for a shot whilst Nancy, Lisa and I indulge in some retail therapy at Macy's!

Dinner to celebrate Lisa's birthday...we dined in one of the Tatami rooms at a Japanese restaurant called Kabuki...

Emily, Tim and Brandon

The awesome foursome!

We didn't do it!!! Honest!!

Blowing out the birthday "ice cream"

Rhianne and Emily .... a day at the Los Angeles Zoo.

Aren't they gorgeous!

Meet our new friend! He's a little shy!

"I'm almost as big as him mum!!!"

A day at Chucky Cheese - a kids pizza parlor/games parlour...Sid loved this place!

Umm...mum do you think I can have another go, I think I'm getting the hang of this game!

Always finish the day off with a hearty meal!!

The girls "winnings" from a day at the Redondo Beach Pier.

Another shot of the happy family!

I had to include this shot...even the mundane task of grocery shopping was made fun with these cool kid friendly shopping trolleys which have a two seater kids car permanently attached to the front of the trolley...the girls would let us grocery shop for hours when they were in this!Pity they don't have the same thing back here...it would definitely make supermarket shopping much easier...and quieter!
