Emily's first pre-school artwork

Emily had a great first day at pre-school, she had so much fun she didn't want to leave! Her teacher told me that she was a great little helper and loved helping out the other new children, showing them where the toilets were, how to paint, where to pack things up.... She's going to miss pre-school when we go on our holiday! Chloe on the other hand missed her "jie jie" all day....and couldn't wait until Emily came home. I think she got bored with mummy!! Where's jie jie?? When is she coming back mummy??
Emily's creative juices were in full swing today! She told me it was a "handy helper door"

How quickly time passes....Chloe's walking and Emily's starting pre-school!!!

Today is the 24th January and Emily started pre-school...sniff*sniff* says mummy, wiping a tear from her eye!! Emily continues to amaze and surprise us each day and its exciting yet a little sad to see her growing up so quickly. Word of advice for all you parents to be out there....savour those early years, they go by in the blink of an eye!... Mum and Dad you can go now...I'm ok!!
Chloe - "Can I stay too please...looks like fun here!"

The very proud but very reluctant parents!
"Do we have to leave now...do you think she'll be alright?!"

Proud papa walking his little princess to the school gates! (It was raining...hence the raincoat!)

I'm ready to go mum!! Like my bag?? Don't I look like a big girl now?!

Our girls loooove the water...whether its indoors or out!
Our bearded beauties washing up after a day in the sun.

Like my beard mum?? Do I look like Santa now?!
We've had a few playdates during the holidays, which Emily and Chloe have thoroughly enjoyed, especially with the hot weather...cos then they get to play in the "pool". Good thing they're little...and they don't care about the size of the "pool".
Kayla, Karis and Hanna came over to play one hot summer's day....
Emily's latest interest is ballet!! She loves dancing around the living room all day long...she was given 3 tutus for Christmas and Grandma says she'll get Emily some ballet classes.

Chloe started walking on the 9th January, she was exactly 1 year and 1 week old. She just popped up on her two cute little legs and stumbled about 4-5 steps...and has been walking everyday since. She can now walk the length of our house! She loves getting into all of her big sister's things now that she can get to them alot faster! Everynow and then, she resembles someone who's had one drink too many....as she wobbles precariously on her "turkey thighs"....

Look mum I'm standing....and now look I'm walking !!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year! We've had a great start to 2007, we spent New Year's Eve at Star City Casino watching the fire works, then on the 2nd January we celebrated our baby's first birthday, followed by a big birthday bash for Chloe on the 6th January! Below are some of the pics from the last couple weeks!...Enjoy!

Check out the great spread!Emily was "guarding" the cake!

We were blessed with great weather after a week of rain...it was a typical hot Australian summer's day and the kids had a ball in our little wading pool, I think some of the adults would have loved to join them!

Emily feeding Chloe some birthday cake...Chloe knows how to enjoy the good life, she didn't even need to get out of the wading pool to eat!

Chloe after a long day of partying and playing!

As the party started tp wind down, the guys got down to business...XBOX 360!
Chloe had an awesome time at her party and it was great having all our close friends and family there to celebrate...

Chloe's REAL birthday cake...a labour of love!
Chloe loves her Grandpa...he knows how to make her happy!!

Hahaha...its my birthday, yay!!! Can I blow my candle out now?!

Chloe's very first birthday cake, we thought we'd better have cake on the actual day of her birthday, eventhough she had that great big party later that week!
Chloe celebrated her first birthday on the 2nd January 2007...we still can't believe she's one already...here she is opening her very first birthday present!
Chloe had fun with the new year's horns!

The morning after the fireworks, 1st January 2007
12 Midnight fireworks over the Harbour Bridge.
These are some of the 9pm family fireworks, and then Sid and Emily decided they needed a nap, Emily wanted us to wake her up for the 12midnight fireworks....we tried! But she slept right through them...

We had a great view of the fireworks, all from the comfort of our room, here's a few shots I took through the hotel room window.
Emily wanted to rest....but she said the room was too bright, so she opted for the bath tub!
